Dialog

Teacher: Hello everyone! Today we’re going to talk about something very important for Christians—grace.

Benny: Grace? Is that someone’s name?

Sam: Yeah! I know a Grace at school!

Teacher: (smiling) That’s a nice name, but today we’re talking about a different kind of grace. Grace means showing kindness and forgiveness even when someone doesn’t deserve it.

Lily: Oh… like forgiving someone when they hurt you?

Teacher: Exactly.

The Problem

Sam: Uh… Lily… I think this might be about me.

Lily: Why would you say that?

Sam: Because yesterday… I accidentally knocked over your art project.

Benny: The one with all the glitter?

Lily: YES! The glitter volcano!

Benny: Oh no… glitter disasters are serious.

Sam: I didn’t mean to! I felt really bad.

The Question

Teacher: Lily, how did you feel when that happened?

Lily: I was really upset. I worked on it all afternoon.

Benny: I would cry if someone knocked over my cookie tower.

Sam: I said sorry… but Lily didn’t talk to me after that.

Teacher: That can happen when someone is hurt. But this is where grace comes in.

Understanding Grace

Benny: So grace means… not staying mad forever?

Teacher: That’s part of it. Grace means forgiving others the way God forgives us.

Sam: Wait… God forgives us even when we mess up?

Teacher: Yes. The Bible teaches that God shows us mercy and forgiveness because He loves us.

Lily: Even when we make mistakes?

Teacher: Yes, even then.

Benny: Wow… that’s a lot of forgiveness.

Putting Grace into Action

Teacher: So when someone apologizes and is truly sorry, we can choose to show grace.

Lily: That means forgiving them?

Teacher: Yes. It doesn’t mean the mistake didn’t hurt—but it means we choose kindness instead of holding a grudge.

Sam: Lily… I really am sorry about the glitter volcano.

Benny: It was a very sparkly volcano.

Lily: (thinking) I was upset… but I know God forgives me when I make mistakes.

Teacher: That’s right.

Lily: Sam, I forgive you.

Sam: Really?

Lily: Yes. Maybe we can rebuild the volcano together.

Sam: I’ll bring extra glitter!

Benny: Uh… maybe less glitter this time.

Conclusion

Teacher: When we forgive others, we are reflecting God’s love and forgiveness.

Benny: So grace is like passing God’s kindness to someone else.

Sam: Even when they make mistakes.

Lily: Just like God forgives us.

Teacher: Exactly. When we extend grace, we show the world what God’s love looks like.

All Puppets Together: Let’s share grace with others!
